FAQ
Questions before you generate.
What is ADNGEN?
ADNGEN is a synthetic intelligence platform for growth. You give it a product, a goal, and a business objective. It plans strategy, generates creative, and prepares campaigns in one operating layer. Templates are optional. You approve what ships.
Do I have to use a template?
No. Templates are optional shortcuts. You can start from a prompt, a product, uploads, personal media, stock, or a blank project. Everything stays editable.
Can I generate an ad from only a prompt?
You can plan an ad from a prompt today: hook, script, scenes, and call to action, then edit before you spend a Video Credit. Finished production video needs a connected Phase 3 render provider. Until then, generation uses the development renderer and is labeled as a preview.
Can I upload my own product photos and videos?
Yes. Uploads are validated, stored privately, and fetched with short-lived signed URLs. You must own the files or have permission to use them.
Can I use a picture of myself?
Yes, as reference or future spokesperson input. You must confirm you are the person shown or have permission. Animation and avatar synthesis require the Phase 3 provider. ADNGEN never treats an uploaded person as a licensed AI creator.
Can I use stock photos and footage?
Yes, through Pexels when PEXELS_API_KEY is configured. Creator attribution and the Pexels license stay with the asset. ADNGEN does not own stock content.
What is a Video Credit?
One Video Credit creates one successfully completed generated video of up to 30 seconds. A 1–30 second video costs 1 credit. Each additional started 30-second block costs 1 more credit. You always see the total before generating.
What happens when a generation fails?
If generation fails on our side, reserved Video Credits are returned to the workspace. You can review the project and try again. The credit ledger records each reservation, use, and return.
Can I edit a project before using credits?
Yes. Planning, scripts, scenes, products, and brand kits do not spend Video Credits. A Video Credit is reserved only when you confirm generation.
Do unused Video Credits expire?
Paid plan credits can bank up to the plan cap and expire 90 days after each monthly grant. Free Trial credits expire 14 days after they are granted. Unused subscription credits expire when paid access ends, even if the original 90-day date is later.
What happens if I cancel or downgrade?
Cancellations and downgrades take effect at the end of the current paid period. You keep paid features until that timestamp. Projects, products, brand kits, and uploads stay in the workspace. After paid access ends the workspace becomes read-only until you upgrade. A workspace can receive the Free Trial only once.
Are my uploads private?
Project files are stored as workspace records. Objects live in private storage and are fetched with short-lived URLs after we check that you belong to the workspace.
Do I need permission to use someone else’s likeness?
Yes. You must own or have permission to use uploaded media and any recognizable likeness. Do not impersonate a living person. Optional AI creators and avatars in the library are synthetic identities, not licensed lookalikes of real people.
Which platforms can I create content for?
You can prepare vertical, square, and widescreen projects plus platform-specific copy for channels such as TikTok, Reels, Shorts, Amazon, and product pages. ADNGEN is not affiliated with those platforms and does not post on your behalf.
Who owns the output?
You keep rights in your product information and uploaded media. Paid workspaces receive commercial use rights in videos generated for that workspace, excluding underlying models and software. Follow the Acceptable Use Policy and platform disclosure rules.
